This is my first game I have EVER made! I ignored tutorials (and ignored learning basic programming) and jumped straight into making this game, so there are definitely still a lot of bugs to be worked out.

Originally made for the GMTK GameJam 2025, it was submitted one minute late and was not taken as a submission. I am a little disappointed in that, but considering the amount of new things I learned, tried, and made work in such a short amount of time for my first attempt at a game? I am proud of the work I have done!

I plan on working on this game further! Currently, there is no sound design AND there are a MILLION bugs to be worked out. For starters, you can't even beat the first level due to some bug preventing the enemy King from dying.

Anyway, let me know any thoughts on the minimal gameplay present! I am interested to hear them!

KNOWN BUGS AND GLITCHES:

  • Enemy King cannot die, so round cannot end.
  • Unit picked up by player moves to bottom right square of mouse.
  • If units are spaced at an odd numbered spacing, they overlap with each other when they meat on the middle square. They then bounce backwards. This causes an issue with attack damage, and leads to them taking damage on a turn they shouldn't. Can make feature, but need to work out kinks.
